To reset on dash board lights, you must disconnect BOTHbattery terminals and touch them together to reset all codes
Put some brake fluid in the master cylinder.
just peplace front brake pad and new sensors on my s550 mercede but the sensor light is still on how do i get it to go off
Other than at the back of the car... (?) If the question is about how to change brake light bulbs, See "Related Questions" below If the question is about the brake light switch, that's on the brake pedal - just a couple of wires going to it and rather easily replaced.
There might be a separate fuse for the lower brake lights ( just a guess )
Probably a brake light switch problem. May be able to adjust, or may need to replace. I just replaced the brake light switch in my 1998 Mazda Protege LX and the problem came back. I believe the cruise control could be shorting out the brake light switch.
I just had my Daewoo Leganza brake light switch replaced. It goes under the brake pedal. and now my brake lights work fine.
a crappy car. my 99 beetle has the same problem. brake light switch new, bulbs and fuses new. brake lights just work whenever the heck they want. this is one of the many reasons my car has a for sale sign in the window. good luck.
No, it is a brake light.
Your front rotors are probably shot, they have a sensor in them that controls the traction light. I just had mine replaced on my 2002 because the traction light would come on for no reason, just sitting at a stop light and pulling out, backing up. Does not do it now since I had them replaced!
Remove the Phillips screws holding the lens in place, remove the lens, push bulb into socket and rotate counter-clockwise, reverse procedure to install. There are three light bulbs when the brake light column is taken out. If just my brake light is out, which bulb needs to be replaced?
Just turn the key to on (second) position - where you see all the lights come on the dashboard and wait till the brake wear indicator light go off. If you replaced the tripped brake wear sensor, the light will go off in about 10-15 seconds...
take it to the dealer tell them you just want a diagnostic performred. see what they say posibly you can do the repaires yourself. but have this checked out.
