This is called a "Contract". It includes the timeframe for service (can be anything from a day to the rest of a person's life) and expectations that both parties have (that Master will care for slave mentally and physically, that slave will be obedient to Master in all things...etc.) It may (or may not) include the limits that a slave has, and the activities that a Master will not perform.
