It's in the engine compartment on the drivers side near the firewall ( The
firewall is the metal wall that separates the engine compartment from the
passengers ) It is a white plastic container , rectangular shape with rounded
corners and has a cap threaded on the top ( I hope that isn't too confusing ,
it's one of those things that would be easier just to point at and say " that's it )

To put brake fluid in a 1997 Ford Explorer, you must locate the brake fluid reservoir. Once you locate it, unscrew the cap, and replenish the brake fluid.
There should be a small resivor by the brake booster on the driver side of engine compartment for clutch fluid.
