A vehicle meters the air before it enters the engine, and adjusts fuel accordingly. If the air is then vented to the atmosphere between shifts instead of being kept inside, then a rich condition occurs and bucking will result. This is the reason vehicles come with bypass valves from the factory.

Yes much trouble. The motor mounts are not the same as well as the axels. It would be easier for you to convert the 420a engine to a turbo modified. They make turbos kits for the 420a
