Pangaea was the original super-continent which broke up into Gondwanaland and Laurasia. Gondwanaland consisted of present day Africa, Antarctica, Australia, India and South America and began to break up about 250 million years ago.
They were already joined together by that time. By 250 millions years ago all the continents had joined together into a single supercontinent called Pangaea. The landmasses mentioned here were all joined together in a supercontinent called Gondwana by about 510 million years ago. However, prior to this they formed different landmasses from the ones we know, as when Gondwana broke up, it did not separate along the same lines by which it was joined together.
Antarctica was joined with South America, Australia, and New Zealand 65 million years ago as part of the supercontinent Gondwana. Over time, the breakup of Gondwana led to the separation of these landmasses to form the modern continents.
