How does a daughter cell compared to the parents cell after undergoing mitosis?

There are no differences. They are both identical to the parent.

Difference between miosis and mitosis?

MITOSIS is the complicated process of chromosome seperation MIOSIS is the copying process that creates cells with half the usual number of chromozomes Mitosis is the process of cell division in somatic cells to make 2 identical diploid cells. ItMeiosis is a process of cell division that creates 4 haploid cells that are not completely identical. Meiosis creates sex cells or gametes. The question should be rephrased so the spelling is correct. I believe the question should read, what is the difference between MEIosis and Mitosis? I can understand the spelling mistake but in medical language everything is about spelling correctly. The original question is asking "what is the difference between constriction of the pupil of the eye"(which occurs in bright settings, miosis), and "what is cell division that creates 2 identical diploid cells" (for example occurs whenever you produce new skin cells, mitosis). These are not related therefore there should not be a question of what the difference is. I will answer what meiosis is which is related to mitosis. Meisos is cell division that creates 4 haploid cells that are not identical, two from the father two from the mother. These are sex cells for reproduction. This is due to allowing genetic make up of these cells to be diverse creating a mixture of DNA from both parents. This is also why siblings are not identical unless they are identical twins.

What does a cell look like after undergoing mitosis?

Mitosis cells are identical (but smaller) daughter cells made by replicating and dividing the original chromosomes, in effect making a cellular xerox.

Compare and contrast algae with protozoans giving specific details about each?

both have nuclei, reproduce by mitosis/cell division, and consume food

Two major methods of cellular division in eukaryotic cells?

Mitosis and meiosis are two methods of cell division. Mitosis produces identical daughter cells, while meiosis randomly mixes chromosomes, resulting in different combinations in each daughter cell.

Mitosis produces what?

an identical copy of the first cell, with the same amount of chromosomes, both after having 23 each

What would most likely result if mitosis was not accomapnied by cytoplasmic division?

one cell with two identical nuclei

The importance of mitosis and cytokinesis in the life cycle of a eukaryotic cell?

Mitosis is the division of the nucleus of a cell. Cytokinesis is the division of the cytoplasm of a cell to create two separate cells. In order for cells to divide to form daughter cells both processes are needed. Mitosis occurs creating two genetically identical nuclei and cytokinesis completes cell division resulting in the two genetically identical eukaryotic cells. One of the nuclei is in each cell.

How does mitosis ensure that a new plant cell is identical to its parents?

Mitosis ensure that a new cell is identical to its parents by their copy of the parent's genome in mitosis. Identical genetic information will result in identical cells.

What are the functions of meiosis but not mitosis in eukaryotes?

The form of cell division that produces animal gametes is meiosis, not mitosis. The production of gametes in plants is a function of both mitosis and meiosis.

How is plant cell mitosis and animal cell mitosis the same?

Both divide the replicated DNA into two separate nuclei, and they both undergo cytokinesis to divide the cell, though the process is different in both.

How does meiosis differ from mitosis?

Mitosis makes new cells that are used during growth, development, repair, and asexual reproduction.Meiosis makes cells that enable an organism to reproduce sexually and happens only in reproductive structures. They both lead to cell division, rest is different. Meiosis leads to reductional division, taking place in sex cells only while Mitosis takes place in somatic (body) Cells. Meiosis produces 4 daughter Cells and mitosis produces 2.

What processes of mitosis provide both new cells with identical DNA?

Blah blah blah

How does a daughter cell compared to the parents cell after undergoing mitosis?

There are no differences. They are both identical to the parent.

Daughter cells are identical to parent cell?

It is said that in meiosis, the daughter cells are not identical, cause the daughters cells have a combination of both parents' chromosomes. In the cell cycle they are identical.

What events occur in telophase?

Telophase occur in both mitosis and meiosis. During telophase nuclear membrane and nuclei reforms and in meiosis it further goes for meiosis 2 which is same as mitosis
