how high are you reving engine, they have limits you know.
Well it's fine up to about 3500 rpm but not sure what revs it's startin at... However I have been driving this car for 6 months and without 'pushing it' however I don't think overtaking is a wise idea and feel that this is something which any roadworthy vehicle should be able to do. I have had one suggestion from a relative that it may be the piston rings? hence smoke only present when accelerating hard? I don't know enough to be able to verify this tho so here I am.
well lts see, blue or black smoke usually sign of bad rings, i suspect leaking head gasket , best way to tell is with a compression test of the cyclinders. Another remote possibility is raw fuel in exhaust system being vaporized and coming out as white smoke, but i suspect it's water (antifreeze) ,again compression check will tell that or not.The head gasket may be fine under regular conditions but leak under load, strain, as engine revs go higher. Is this a 4cyl. ,6cyl. etc. that might help too, what kind of vehicle ?
Mitsubishi Carisma 1.8 GDi 16v, there has been a strong smell of petrol fumes when idling but i just assumed she was running rich... could explain that too, they came from the exhaust.
i assume it ifs fuel injected, your problem very easily could be your fuel pressure regulator not working right or no vaccumm to it, check it thoroughly.
Thank you :) Will do, definitely fits the problems, and also a coupla minor glitches that i assumed came with the car lol. Advice much appreciated, will let ya know if u'r right!
Mitsubishi Carisma was created in 1995.
A used Mitsubishi Carisma can be found at car stores who sell used Mitsubishi cars. Some official Mitsubishi dealers sell used Mitsubishi cars as well.

On the top of the tranny. There will be a black wire sticked in there. It`s on there loose, so you can just pull it out, or stick it in
