I had the same problem on my 94 Eldorado. Almost drove me crazy. I also had my key checked and the ingnition was replaced - no change. On a test drive, I had a fire inside the trunk! It turned out that the pulling motor of the lid had faulty cables that caused the fire. The problem started weeks before the fire, so I imagine there was a short in the wiring causing the anti-theft system to think someone was tampering with the trunk lid and shut down. Remove the plastic cover in that area and have a look at your wiring.
take to trimsop for elements. common problem
that depends on what is wrong have you checked the compressor?
I have a Cadillac Seville sts 2003 and I drive only to go and back from my job that is 14 miles from my house, when I drive in the city I can make onle 15.0 mpg driving about 35 mph, on the free way i can 17.0 mpg driving about 65 mph, I just get a little more when i travel that's make 19.0 to 21 mpg after to drive a long distance. But I checked my car manual and what say is that i can make 31 mpg in the free way, the maximun that i made driving 65 mph after to drive 200 miles straight was 21 mpg.
If you have checked the blower motor and it does function when power is applied then I would suspect the Blower Motor Resistor Pack is defective. It is also possible the blower motor speed control is bad, but highly unlikely.
From exhaust?? Have catalytic converter checked.
Your radiator cooling fan may be defective. Have it checked buy a professional. This could lead to a harness fire if you keep putting fuses in/ Blown fuses indicate too heavy of load on wires. Get it fixed.
It could be two things. As you know, the alternator charges the battery so it will not drain. If the alternator is not working properly to charge the battery, the battery will continuously drain. Have the alternator tested at your local Auto Parts store (NAPA or Advance Auto) If it is good, have the battery checked.
I have a 1983 Cadillac El Dorado and the window on passenger side doesn't work. I checked power to switch (ok) and checked switch and it is also ok. I assume that the wiring is loose or motor is bad. How do I remove panel on door
There is no transmission dipstick on a 2004 Cadillac CTS, the fluid must be checked from underneath. Seems silly, but true. Believe me, I found out the hard way.
The service, stability system message, on your 2002 Cadillac Escalade, is a caution to a suspension problem. The suspension should be checked out by a certified mechanic.
No! Something is worn. Have it checked out.
Have it checked for codes, if it has a p0336 cranksensor code or similar, replace the cranksensor
