Best Answer

Start small, check fuel pressure, then check to see if it's getting any spark. doing these two things first can narrow your search greatly.

Why does your 1998 Honda Civic LX engine occasionally and especially on hot days quit at startup or when it hasn't been driven far then allow restart after briefly being able to sit or coast?

its your distibutor coil.....i have a 95 civic same problem... Honda typically has this problem... if your car starts right up on cool days or at night ..but cranks & wont start in the daytime or under high temperatures outside, its your coil.
