Start by changing the air filter. That helps a LOT. But if it doesn't help in your case, there are three things that can cause bog: * Low fuel pressure. Normally caused by a clogged fuel filter. * Too much air coming in behind the throttle plate. We're talking Big Time leaks, not the normal small ones. * Timing way off.

if it bogs out and shuts off you might have to clean the carb. you can do this with virtually no problem. most gas stations have carb cleaner for under five bucks. it is probaly either that or bad fuel line. id take it down to your local dealer to make sure its not a serious problem.
Loosen the 18mm bolt about 4 or 5 mm and give the bolt a good wack and the pulley should pop. Then remove the bolt and pulley.

check to make sure the distributor cap is not cracked. check the spark plug wires are no arcing off metal or each other. just make sure they are not touching anything - if they are, use a spray bottle with water and spray it over the plug wires while the car is running. if you see little sparks and your car bogs then the plug wires are the problem.
Could be several things but one comes to mind, a plugged catyletic (sp?) converter.
