My 2004 trailblazer sometimes when i press the accelerator the engine does not respond. also sometimes as i drive it it hesitates a little?

Try cleaning the throttle body. Use only a good TB cleaner & best results are with the TB removed. This may sound hard, but it's about a 20 min. job & it makes a big difference.
