My 97 altima won't start all the dash lights are on but it won't veen crank it has a remote start wondered if that could be the reason?

Could be that the starter wire was cut to put the remote start in and it's still in "lock" mode and won't allow the starter wire relay in the remote start to connect....check under the dash for a black/yellow wire that may have been cut
I do believe that you need a new alternator. :(
