My dog had a huge pimple like thing on the rim of his ear but when it popped it was a bloddy mess what was it?

Did YOU pop it? I hope not. It was one of the pimples filled with blood because it groups together and pushes into the outside of the skin. I forgot what it is called though. It's called a hematoma, a blood-filled bruise. Dogs get them on their ears sometimes, usually it's older dogs. You should never burst one. They need to go to the vet to have them drained. Or, you can just leave it alone and it will go away in a few weeks.
