DO NOT ATTEMPT TO FIX THIS PROBLEM YOURSELF! as you will void the warrenty. What you must do is take your laptop to a computer technition (or even get one to come to you, In Australia they charge about $80.00 per hour, given that this is a simple task for a TRAINED PERSON to complete, I don't expect that it will cost too much for you to get this fixed). If your lucky, the key will have simply fallen out of its slot and you wont have to purchase a new key pad. If however you are forced to, then you should purchase the item from the laptop manufacturers website NOWHERE ELSE IF YOU USE THE WRONG PART, THEN YOUR WARRENTY MAY BE VOIDED!!! at any rate, they are not too expensive and are not terribly difficult to locate on your manufacturers website.

There are many differences between desktops and laptops. Laptops are smaller and lighter and therefore can be moved around easily for convenience. Desktops, on the other hand, are sturdier as they are bigger and are probably a safer option for people who are prone to accidents.

Laptops have many advantages over desktops, the biggest of course being that they are portable. Laptops are also lighter, and take up far less space.
If you contact the maker of the laptop computer they will be able to tell you where the nearest place is that can repair the laptop to the makers standard
SO-DIMMs are smaller then regular DIMM so are suited for laptops where space is at a premium. Speed and power is similar to DIMM size memory.
