My lawn mower won't start When I pumb the primer button gas leaks out of the hole?

you have flooded the engine... take out the spark plug drain the fuel.. let it sit for an hour or two, put the plug back in and try again... this time to pump so much fuel in to the system.....

Everyone who has a lawn is forced to mow it. Maybe this is your first time owning a home that has a lawn that requires proper maintenance. To take care of the lawn you may have bought a push lawnmower. Starting a push lawnmower can sometimes be very frustrating. However, to help you, here are a few easy to follow steps to start nearly any push lawnmower. The first step you should perform before attempting to start your mower is checking your oil. There should be a cap labeled “oil” somewhere on the top of the main body of the mower. Find it and untwist the cap. Next, use the gauge under the cap to determine if the mower has enough oil. Secondly, you should of course check to see if the mower has enough gas. To do this, simply unscrew the other cap on the top of the body of the mower. It is probably larger than the cap for the oil. Check if you can see any liquid inside the gas tank. If not, fill the mower with gas until it reaches the fill line. Now you need to locate the primer bulb. The primer bulb is a round, squishy bulb of either a red or black color that you press to push air into the carburetor that then forces gas into the center jet of the engine. The primer bulb should be on the back of the mower somewhere. Press it about four times. Now find the starting lever. Usually it’s near the handle. Squeeze it or other wise the mower will not start. While still squeezing the starting lever, reach down and grab the pull cord. The pull cord should be on the top of the mower. Now pull up hard with the pull cord. The mower should start immediately. If it does not, pull up again even harder. If it still doesn’t start, go back and press the primer bulb a few more times to prime the engine again. Following these easy to remember steps, you’ll find that starting your push lawnmower is a really easy task. Actually mowing your lawn is the hard part.
