If the slope around the base of the tree is fairly flat then just fill in with sandy soil to cover the roots. If the side of the trunk where the soil has eroded is sloped downward, then surround it with curbing or some type of low barricade to prevent the soil from further eroding from rain.

What is mean by synergistic effect?

I DO NOT KNOW THATIts when the effect of two chemicals on an organism is greater than the effect of each chemical individually, or the sum of the individual effects. The presence of one chemical enhances the effects of the second. This is called a synergistic effect or synergy, and the chemicals are sometimes described as showing synergism.

What is the typical value of resistance of an electric furnace?

Even without looking up the electrical specifications of the product, we know thatits electrical resistance is relatively low. Any device designed to produce heat musthave a low resistance.Let's just pull some numbers out of the air:-- 1500 square feet in the house-- industry recommends 35 BTU per square foot in your area ==> 52,500 BTU furnace required-- 3,400 BTU ==> 1 KW; 52,500 BTU ==> 15.4 KW-- to operate from 240 VACPower = E2 / R15,400 = (240)2 / RR = (240)2/15,400 = 3.74 ohmsAnd that's just the heating coils. The big air-mover fans that distribute theheated air throughout the house are also in parallel, so the load across the240V service when the furnace is running is less than 3.74 ohms. We're guessing that electric furnaces don't operate from a normal 120VAC line.If one did, the corresponding resistance to produce the same amount of heatwould be 0.935 ohm !

How weight is the earth?

The Earth's mass is 5.9736 x 1024 kilograms. That, we can say with assurance. It's not so easy to say what the Earth's weightis, because the weight of any massdepends on what else is nearby. Most people have heard by now that a 200-pound manweighs only 33.1 pounds on the Moon.If you take one Earth mass, crunch it down somehow to the size of a basketball, and then set it down on the ground in your back yard, it weighs13,169,500,000,000,000,000,000,000 pounds. If you take it to the moon and set it down on the ground there, it only weighs2,179,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 pounds up there.Every time you take it to a different place, the weight changes. Here's something cool to think about. I don't know how much you weigh, so I'lltell you this one with me playing the leading role:What if you take the Earth, in its present familiar almost-spherical shape, andput it on me ? What would it weigh ?That's a very easy question to answer. When I get on the bathroom scale to measuremy weight on Earth, I read 186 pounds. We know that the forces of gravity are equalin both directions between two masses. So we can either immediately state the Earth'sweight on me, or if you prefer, I can measure it. I turn the bathroom scale over, so thatits feet point up at me and the numbers point down at the floor, and then I stand on itagain. The numbers then display the Earth's weight on me . . . 186 pounds, just as Newtonwould have expected.

Did God create evolution?

No. As an Atheist, I believe in Evolution. The world started with a bang and particles were made. After the dinosaurs, bacteria grew and life begun again. When the meteor hit the Earth to kill the dinosaurs. The sun was blocked & naturally it froze. That's when the Ice Age began. I don not see the point in arguing because evolution has a better point. I have only one word to prove that God didn't just make humans as soon as he made the Earth and that word is "Dinosaurs" there is no mention of Dinosaurs in the Bible. And there is proof they existed. It also skips how- In the name of God- were there more people than Adam & Eve. I asked a Christian how since Adam & Eve had 2 sons, how were they to make the rest of us? What did she say, "It's the magic of God!!" Honestly! Who says that?! And the Dinosaurs are "magical" too are they??? These are the reasons I am Aestheist!Sephiroth95Listen here you simple minded jackassyou might want to do your research before saying stuff like thatits people like you who ruin the very fabric of society for everyone else1. Adam and eve had 3 sons one of which killed another then they had seth after which god prolonged their lives he did this for the next 10 generations so that they could have more children.2.There is record of dinosaurs in the bibleWHY CANT YOU LET OTHER PEOPLE HAVE AN OPNINION I HATE THAE FACT THAT YOU HAVE THE CHEEK TO COME ON HERE AND SAY THIS WITH A BLATANT DISREGARD FOR EVERY ONE ELSE BUT YOURSELFYOUR WORST NIGHTMARESephiroth95

Do blue whales have a noticeable gravitation field?

What a fantastic question ! I can't wait to see what kind of answer I find. The blue whale is the largest animal ever known to have lived on Earth ... far beyondany dinosaurs of which we have evidence. The best estimates I found during an exhaustive 5-minute on-line search are 30 meterslong and 200 metric tons for the largest individuals. I'm going to calculate the force ofgravitational attraction between you and the blue whale while you're swimming close to it.For gravity calculations, you need to know the distance between the centers of massof the two objects, and that's my first problem ... approximating where the whale'scenter of mass is.The animal is shaped like a very skinny submarine. It ought to be valid to assume thatits center of gravity is halfway back, but that doesn't help. If you hug the whale, or siton it, halfway back, then the distance from that center of gravity is going to be theradius of its cross-section halfway back, and I didn't find that dimension anywhere,so I'll need to just pull a number out of thin air. I'm intentionally going to make itextra skinny. That will put you extra close to the whale's center of mass when you'resitting on it, and it'll give me an extra large figure for the mutual force of gravity ...your 'weight' on the whale.I'm going to say that the whale is 2 meters across at its mid-point ... about 61/2 feet.So if it lets you near, you can get within 1 meter of its center of mass. That puts you1 meter from the center of 200 metric tons ... 200,000 kilograms.Let's also say that your mass is 75 kilograms ... you weigh about 165 pounds on Earth. That's all we need, and we're ready to calculate the gravitational force between youand the blue whale. I can't wait.Force = G Mass1Mass2/Distance2G = 6.67 x 10-11 (the Universal Gravitational Constant)Force = (6.67 x 10-11) (200,000) x (75)/(1)2 = 0.001 newton = 0.0036 ounceThe answer is:Measurable . . . Yes.Noticeable . . . . I don't think so.

What materials were used to make the first electric doorbell?

A bell, a coil with an iron core, a striker-spring, a fixed switch-contact and two brass terminals were probably all mounted on a polished or varnished wooden base. The bell was probably made of brass, the spring of the striker was probably made of tempered steel and its "pole-piece" was probably a small piece of iron mounted about half-way along the striker-spring.One end of the striker-spring was fixed to the wooden base-board of the bell. The other end of the striker-spring probably carried a small piece of brass mounted so as to strike the bell. That small piece of brass was called the "striker".The coil was probably made of very thin insulated copper wire wound around an iron core. The striker-spring also carried a switch contact which could touch the fixed switch-contact (which was mounted on the base-board) only when the striker was at rest i.e. when its pole-piece was not being attracted to the iron core of the coil. The electric bell's circuit was probably set up to connect the "+" side of the battery to one terminal of the bell-push. The other terminal of the bell-push was connected to one of a pair of brass terminals mounted on the base-board and that terminal was connected to the striker-spring's switch-contact.The fixed switch-contact on the base-board was connected to one end of the coil. The other end of the coil was connected to the other brass terminal from where it was connected to the "-" side of the battery. The battery might have been put into a separate battery box if it was made up from some 'C' cells or similar. If they didn't use small cells they may have used an old-style very heavy glass "accumulator" and it would probably have been placed on the floor somewhere out of the way, such as in a larder or a pantry. When the bell-push was pressed, current flowed:from the battery to the striker-spring's contact and thenvia the contact fixed to the base-board tothe coil, so thatits iron core would be magnetized andit attracted the striker's pole-piece.That made the striker (on the "free" end of the striker-spring) strike the bell and also thecontacts opened to break the circuit, allowing the striker, under the influence of its spring, tomove away from bell and the coil's core. This "going-back" movement of the striker would re-connect the circuit (via the striker-spring's moving switch-contact and the base-board's fixed switch-contact) andthe coil's core would again attract the striker-spring's pole-piece and thusring the bell again and also break the circuit again. Those "to-and-fro" movements of the striker-spring would continue to ring the bell for as long as the bell-push was pressed.

How much mass does earth have?

The Earth doesn't "weigh" anything, because the concept of weight only applies to a body which is resisting a gravitational field. The Earth is in free orbit around the Sun. The MASS of the Earth is approximately 5.97e24 kilograms, or 5,970,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 kg. This is approximately 13e24 pounds, or 1,300,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 pounds.
