Put a good cold air intake on such as one from Airaid, or AFE, and depending on the state you live in you can straight pipe it which will make it sound awesome and help your milage, and add a tuner I recommend an Edge Juice with Attitude and that will make a big difference as long as you don't run the chip to hot I would use stages 1-3 only that will give you much improved mileage but won't tear up your engine/tranny.
Where is the fuel pump on a 2003 duramax diesel
location of fuel pump 2003 chevy 3500 duramax diesel
where is the fuel pump fuse or relay on 2005 duramax diesel
The factory lift pump on a 6.6 Duramax is located in the fuel tank.
If you didn't fill the new filter up with clean diesel fuel when you assembled it, you introduced air into the system.
Remove the fuel filter, fill it with fuel... IIRC, the Duramax has an electric fuel pump... cycle the key in the "on" position a couple times to let it prime. This is, of course, assuming that, when you say "gas", you actually mean #2 Ultra Low Sulphur Diesel, which is the only fuel you should be using for that engine, especially if it's 2007 or newer. If you ran that diesel engine on gas you probably destroyed the engine. That's why it won't start.
I have a C4500 with a 6.6 Duramax and it takes 16qts. with the filter, also change your fuel filter with every oil change.
yes
The best way to get better mpg's is with a tuner/programmer. Most out there guarantee better fuel mileage.
You need oxygen, heat, and fuel.
Probably the best way to get better fuel mileage would be to get a tuner for it.
Everything is different between 02 and 06, block pistons, computer, turbo, fuel injection psi, etc. See link below.
