∙ 11y agoNeji Hyuuga and Hinata Hyuuga, as you can see, both come from the Hyuuga Clan. Neji comes from the Cadet Branch, the lower one, Hinata comes from the Main Branch, the upper one.Their relationship is cousins. In the past, Neji felt hatred towards Hinata for being weak, while also being superior to him. During the 2nd round of the Chuunin exams, when they were paired together, Neji easily beat Hinata and almost killed her. After that, when Naruto had to fight Neji for the 3rd stage of the exams, Naruto beat some sense into Neji, who then, accepted Hinata and even became very protective of her. After that, he became good friends with her.
