i think the it would be a dist because the alt gets power from the battery and it goes to the distributor, that's wat i think
its 1234 and 1324 on dist
start with dist cap and rotor
Dust module
Coil Dist. Cap Rotor
remove coil wire from dist. have assistant crank engine over hold coil wire with insulated pliers about .05 inch from engine look for spark while assistant cranks engine. if you have spark . remove a spark plug wire do same spark test if you still have spark rotor is good, if not rotor is bad or another problem inside dist. also you look for corroded or burned spots on rotor or dist. cap
The easiest way is to keep your distriburetor and get a petronix ignition from summit racing and install it in your distriburetor.
18436572 dist rotation is clockwise
Could be bad dist. cap or rotor
Change your spark plug wires & maybe your dist. cap
spark plugs dist cap rotor wires, oil change carb adjustment
broken timing belt, check it- you wont get a spark if its broken
Need to check coil wire, coil, The most common thing that does this is the ingnetion Module in the distributor. It bolts inside the Dist. and that is what the electric wires on the side of Dist. hook to. I think the module will fix your problem.
