I would imagine it is in the oil pan
This question refers to the 1993 Chevrolet K1500 with the 6.2L diesel (engine code 'C') 8-cylinder 4WD. The K1500 has a service capacity of 7 quarts. Synthetic 5W40 and 15W40 is suggested for this diesel application. Shell Rotella T, Mobil Delvac I (Turbo Diesel Truck), and Chevron Delo 400, make grades specifically suited for this engine.
15w40 diesel rated conventional or 5w40 diesel rated synthetic oil
I have one in my 1988 Chevy K1500 with a 350.
5Qts. with a new filter.
It SHOULD be 5 unless you have an after-market, high capacity oil pan... then you have to go by the manufacturer of the oil pan.
Yes there are oil cooler lines that come off of the oil filter adapter, they feed in to an oil cooler that is built in to the radiator.
Get it warm shut it off then drain oil change filter[stp434] and fill with 6 quarts of new shell rotella 10w-30.
Drain the oil from your 1995 Chevrolet oil pan. Remove the oil pan retaining bolts. The oil pan will come off.
2006 duramax 6.6l diesel 10 litres 15w40 engine oil.
