Well I'm a Jehovah witness and we do not really attempt to celebrate birthdays, if we do it' probably because it's a child or something like that

What is it like for someone born into the Jehovah's Witness religion?

I was born into the religion, it's really great being born into it you start knowing so much about Jehovah and what he believes and Jesus and the heavenly angels, but, it's also fine to come into being a Jehovah's Witness when your older you can learn faster and you have support from the many other Witnesses.

What celebrities are Jehovahs witnesses?

Jehovah's Witnesses have no celebrities. Jehovah's Witnesses do not recognize anyone as celebrities. We consider no one as 'famous'.If non-witnesses consider someone who is one of Jehovah's Witnesses as a celebrity, we would have no knowledge of their views.Perhaps this is where a non-Witness can provide a list of those they consider a celebrity, that also happens to be a Witness. But we could not confirm whether they really are a Witness or not. We keep no such records.

When do Hispanics baptize their babies?

That is not a Jehovah's witness question really. Jehovah's Witnesses get baptized when they are old enough to understand what they are doing and dedicate their lives to the doing of Jehovah's will. This is true of any one of Jehovah's Witnesses weather hispanic or not. This would not be possible for a baby. Jesus Christ was 30 when he was baptized.

When a Jehovah witness dies do their name appear you the newpaper?

In the Obituaries, yes. Sometimes their names are not included, but then there are many people who dont end up in the newspaper for their death. This has nothing to do with Jehovah's Witnesses and their beliefs, so its not really condemned. You most likely wouldn't even know the person that's mentioned is a Jehovah's Witness or not, the Obituaries dont tell that information.

How do i meet my girlfriends parents if they are Jehovah's witness's were both 16 but how do we get her parents to be ok with us dating so young for a jehovahs witness?

actually depends how they react because my booyfriend is a blood nd he does alot of bad stuff but im 14 hes 17 nd my mom lets us date she's a jehovahs witness. so really it depends on how spiritual they are You just don't it's better if you find someone that is not a Jehovah's witness. That would be better for you. You just don't it's better if you find someone that is not a Jehovah's witness. That would be better for you. HOnestly, If really love her, wait until your both graduated to get together with her and try going to their meetings and be interested! the parents will like you then! EDIT: if i were you, i would post pone meeting her parents until she is 18. right now, she isn't supposed to be dating any one, due to the fact that Jehovah's witnesses do not date. we carry on a courtship, which means that we have every intent to marry the person. meeting the parents now is not a good idea. you will get her in trouble.

Is Cymphonique a Jehovah's Witness?

As far as I know, she's not. I really don't think Master P, Romeo and the Miller family are affiliated with the religion.

Why do Jehovah's witness reject education?

Well they don't reject education. Like, my family members have a good education and we are Jehovah witnesses. They think that if you stay at the campus then you will get in trouble and not really be there to study any thing. You will just party all night and not get the education you want. Also, if go to a major university you will not be focused on what is necessary in life like being a Jehovah's witness.

When did Jehovah's Witnesses start and by whom Christ or a man?

There were Witnesses of Jehovah God long before Jesus was on earth. Really, anyone who serves Jehovah God, is 'by-nature' one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Actually, in the Bible, Able is listed as the first Witness of Jehovah God.Even Jesus is called in Revelation as 'a faithful witness'. Therefore Jesus was also a Witness of Jehovah God.Answer: No human started Jehovah's Witnesses. Not even Jesus started it on earth. I suppose that really Jehovah God himself started it, by CREATING Humans to BE HIS WITNESSES. Jehovah didn't want Adam & Eve to be witnesses of his adversary, Satan. If you are just limiting your question to modern times - - - well, the name 'Jehovah's Witnesses, was available for anyone before 1931. But no one wanted anything to do with that name 'Jehovah'. They had all been taught to worship his son, Jesus. For many people, just the word 'Jehovah' is an aversion (meaning it makes their stomach crawl). But there was a group that called themselves 'Bible Students'. They saw that many Bible translations deleted God's personal name from their Bibles. This bothered them. So in 1931 they drew up a Resolution; and determined to being called by what they really already were, Witnesses of Jehovah God. To shorten it up, they called themselves: Jehovah's Witnesses.

I have been with my Jehovah's Witness boyfriend for 2 years and I love him. I understand his beliefs but do not believe them myself I dont know what to do because I dont want us to have problems?

If you marry him with different beliefs, you will have difficulties. My husband isn't a Christian and I am and we have fought over different things due to my religion. It has been hard but we have made it to 16 years of marriage.I'm not discriminate but becareful of Jehovah's witness beliefs, especially when it comes to childbirth. You have to iron all this stuff out before you go further. Don't let him force his believes on you and if he does then there is only one thing to do.FURTHERJehovah's Witnesses are repeatedly admonished to avoid getting involved with those who are not in the faith. This is in obedience to the scriptures that state not to become "unevenly yoked." (2 Corinthians 6:14) I think it is important to understand a very important thing. Saying you are a Jehovah's Witness, having Jehovah's Witness parents, and even going to the Kingdom Hall, or studying with Jehovah's Witnesses does not make somene a Jehovah's Witness. Jehovah's Witnesses are just that, active Witnesses of Jehovah. That is what it means to be a Jehovah's Witness, so unless your boyfriend is baptised as a JW and activively engaged in the public preaching work that JW's do, it's doubtful that he is actually a Jehovah's Witness. If he were active in the faith, it is doubtful that he would have gotten involved with someone outside the faith to begin with.My parents, my grandparents, and one set of my great-grand parents are/were JW's, but I did not become a JW until I had grown up, gotten married, decided to study the Bible, come to the concluson that it is the truth, got baptised, and became an active preacher of the Good News in 1988 at the age of 23. Until then, no matter what I said, I was not really a Jehovah's Witness. All that being said, if you are looking forward to a real relationship with this person, it would be wise to actually sit down and have a real talk with him to determine how strong his convictions really are.In the previous answer, there was some mention of a difference in beliefs being a huge issue. That is correct, however, the mention of our beliefs on childbirth are a bit confusing to me, since we have no special beliefs about childbirth. When my wife had our daughter, we had her in a real hospital. We used a real doctor, at least he claimed he was and charged us enough for it. When she wanted epideryl to ease the pain...we gave her epideryl.Keep in mind something else that is important about the beliefes of Jehovah's Witnesses: You will hear people all around you claiming that Jehovah's Witnesses believe this, or Jehovahs' Witnesses believe that...claiming that they know what we believe. They claim that their mother's neighbor's best friend's uncle was a Jehovah's Witness, or that they have been to a education class on Jehovah's Witnesses, and Jehovah's Witnesses believe this or that. That fact is, most usually they have no idea what we believe. The only place to get the accurate information about what we believe is from Jehovah's Witnesses themselves. That further stresses the need to sit down with him and find out what his convictions and beliefes are, not what someone else says his beliefs are...but what he himself says they are. The fact that he has been involved with someone outside the faith also makes me wonder how much he knows about the beliefs of Jehovah's Witnesses as well.If he really does have strong convictions about his attachment to the faith of Jehovah's Witnesses, I strongly urge to have a study with Jehovah's Witnessses to find out what his thinking process is. This will not make you a Jehovah's Witness, nor will you be expected to participate or support Jehovah's Witnesses in any way. Simply studying will cost you nothing but your time, and it will give you insight as to what to expect from your future spouse. Believe me, if he is a Jehovah's Witness, or plans to become a Jehovah's Witness, it will affect him deeply. We do not consider our religion to be simply a religion. The first century christains viewed their faith as a whole way of life, their very existence, the essence of their whole identity, and so do we. It will affect you, so you need to find out what it's all about so that you can make a wise decision. If he is really a true Jehovahs witness then no offence darlin but he wouldn't even be with you in the first place. This is because Jehovahs witnesses strongly advise that they only date each other ie other Jehovah's witnesses. Your boyfriend if he was a true witness would of been in alot of trouble for goin out with you as you are what they would call 'worldly' sorry to shatter your dreams but its the truth. laters.
