The battery is held in place by a clamp at the bottom of the battery.
this sounds too simple to be asked. Or do you mean doing something else to the battery? if you can see the battery just disconnect the terminals using a spanner and replace the battery with one of similar voltage.
restart the computer and by doing that disconnect the battery for 5 min
Disconnect the battery for 5 minutes get the radio code before doing this
What will happen is the car will not start nor will the electrical lights, radio ect. Unless your doing electrical work on the car don't dissconect the battery
Locate it on the upper brake pedal arm, disconnect the wire from it, unscrew it and put in a new one. Before doing that, of course, you need to make sure your fuse isn't blown and that the bulbs aren't burned out. If you have to replace the switch, disconnect the battery ground just to make sure you don't burn something out.
disconnect the battery cables for 5 minutes then reconnect them. remember to reset the clock after doing this.
On 200 + 300 tdi Yes just disconnect the battery. when you put battery back on before using it just make sure you check the engine oil level.
Basically you will have to remove everything that is in the way to get that battery. First get an 8mm wrench and disconnect the battery terminals, (-)negative first and then start taking off the stuff around it. The one I did, I did not enjoy doing because of the lack of room to get to the hold-down bolt. When reconnecting the battery, leave the (-)negative for last.
You can use a very small flat blade screwdriver if you know what you are doing.
The easiest way - in most cars - is to simply disconnect the battery. Doing that removes the electric current that would be required to 'set off' the airbag.
disconnect battery ,but before doing so write down any codes required eg radio code etc
open the front boot and lift the central panel in between the windscreen and the luggage compartment, it had to little twist locks on either end. if your going to disconnect the battery leave the ignition on when doing so otherwise the alarm will go off!!and its rather loud!!
