i changed the brakes on a ford ranger truck 3.0 engine and then its making a ground noise at the driver side front sideat the left
A clicking noise in the engine of a 91 Ranger could indicate a problem with the valves. A valve lifter in the engine may be worn or stuck.
no it makes cranky noises
Both ends
not sure sound like it comes from front suspension
Possible wheel bearing, see if noise changes on left & right turns.
So check the steering linkage, bushings and joints in the front wheel assembly.
Are you sure the noise isn't in the front. Sounds like a right front wheel bearing, which is a common problem on these vans.
Sounds like its from one side? Ur shocks
Worn out bushing or steering joint probably.
ur clutch is bad get a new one!!
The ratchet winding noise on the Ranger 4x4 could be a wheel bearing or brake issue. There could also be problems in the front differential. Check all three for any problems. The 1998 Ranger noise is most likely coming from a brake grinding against a rotor, or a bad wheel bearing. Either of these can cause serious problems if left unchecked.
