PatC 98Cherokee40 the ac will put out cold air after a while the air slows down and gets warm even though the fan is still working. The box inside when the condenser is feels cool What could be wrong?

have the freon charge checked if the freon is low the evap core can freeze and the air flow is restricted and no air flow or little air flow is the result

First, check the circuit breakers; make sure they are all ON. Find out if any other outlets on the same breaker are working; it's always possible that a breaker is faulty. If the breaker is on and everything else on the circuit is working, it could be as simple as a poor connection inside the outlet. Also even though the outlet is not a GFCI, it may be fed from a GFCI outlet. Check near by outlets to see if any are GFCI and are tripped.

Outer fan cools condenser coil as well as compressor. Even though the cycle is turned OFF the compressor needs to be cooled continuously.

If you're talking electrically yes. Just look for a clip with 2 wires on the condenser frame and disconnect that. That will keep the condenser motor from trying to run. Just make sure you turn off your ac when you stop. It will build up too much pressure and blow your ac. When you're driving it works just fine though. I drive a 97 civic dx though. It worked on that gen.
