I don't have a photo, but they are in the top of the engine right next to the fuel rail and fuel injectors. The Triton engine has a separate coil for each plug. The coil is mounted on top of the plug and is round in shape with a plug in. There will be a small screw...7mm I think, holding the coil in that has to be removed.

The are no distributor cap on the 1997 Ford Expedition. You have eight coil packs one on each spark plug.
