the low speed jet is clogged or the float level is incorrect. If you have the knowledge, take the carburetor apart and give it a thorough cleaning.
I just ran into that problem... Polaris doesn't have it on their website anymore. I attained a hard copy for free from my local dealer.
hello-- come on now , yes there are fuses, and this is usually the problem
I have a 1999 sportsman 500 and it done the same thing. The problem was the camshaft lobe wore off. The new camshafts are updated to correct this problem, they have a extra oil passage in them.
Sounds like a dead battery. Try charging the battery, then start.
Engine idle is set too high , turn the idle down should take care of the problem
This could be a number of problems... Fuel pump problem? Carbuerator / fuel injection problem? Timing problem?
coil is bad.replace it It's a typical problem with a Polaris. They sold their ATVs with known defective CDI controllers. On a Sportsman 600 it's a Ducati part #4010785. It's located under the access panel under the front rack. Look at other forums. It's a VERY COMMON problem with many Polaris ATVs and they won't do a recall. DON'T BUY A POLARIS. I'm sorry that I did.
Check your magnito.
check pickup coil inside the flywheel rt. side as sitting on it the pickup is on the outside of the flywheel but the problem is usually the stator inside the flywheel and is sold as a set.
Your battery light comes on because you have an electrical problem. It may be in a switch, a relay, a sensor, or the fans. Since you have to ask, you should have a mechanic check it out.
One of the biggest problems with this particular type of mower is the filter. It tends to need to be cleaned pretty regularly. The carbuerator and the spark are also a couple of other main point that may cause a problem.
i had the same exact problem with my 2001 polaris sportsman 400. It is either your voltage regulator or your stator. With your ATV running disconnect the positive terminal on your battery. IF the ATV quits instantly then its probably your stator.
