prob fuel sender problems.
Put a fuel pressure gauge on it and that will tell you.
on the fuel pump is a little floater, inside the pump is an electronic sensor which reads your fuel level, meaning that if your fuel pump goes out due to bad wiring, or just gets worn out, your fuel gauge will go with it, but no worries, once you put a new one in, and put on the new wiring harness your problems should be solved. hope this helped :)
it is the fuel level sensor located inside the tank.
When the ignition is first turned on you should hear the pump start up. If you do then the pump is getting power. There is a port on the fuel rail where you can put a gauge to see if the pump is putting out pressure.
if you put gas in the tank the gauge don't work what is the problem Probably the sending unit in fuel tank is corroded. Either replace unit wit a new fuel pump or try pulling pump out and cleaning crud from float unit and sending unit and the contacts. Fuel pump is in fuel tank
Do you have fuel ?Check fuel pump pressure with a gauge. You should be able to remove the gas cap and put your ear to it and hear the fuel pump run when someone turns the key on. That will tell you if the pump is working are not. Pressure test will tell you if the pump is up to power.
ill put this as simple as i can, a fuel module monitors and the pump pumps fuel.
You probably have a plugged fuel filter. See if you can put a fuel pressure gauge on the fuel supply line at the engine and check your fuel pressure. It could also be a fuel pressure regulator
The fuel pump is an assembly in the fuel tank. You need to put the tank down to dismantle the fuel pump.
put electric fuel pump on frame and put on atggle switch
If you are getting power to the pump and no fuel is coming out then yes.
AnswerPut some gasoline in a bucket, put the pump in the bucket and use a 12 volt battery to put the pump on. Use a pressure gauge. Put in the output of the hose from where the gasoline will come, and check how many psi the gauge show, I think it has to be 20 or 40 psi.I would use kerosene for the test fluid; way less explosive!
