If you mean is it slower on acceleration, then no. It actually makes for quicker acceleration because the power is distributed evenly between all four wheels, and you also have less chance of spinning any wheels off the line.

These are the 2 transmissions used that year by chevy. 1/2 Ton trucks have the 4L60E transmissions in them ONLY. The 3/4 tons used the 4L80E trans. in them.
Yes, there are 350 turbo transmissions that will bolt up to a 4x4.
700r4 for sure. but i believe the 96-99 model Chevy pickups have that 4l6oe transmission in it
A manual lever on the floor board. You put the vehicle in neutral, shift the lever to the desired position, and roll.
If it is a 1/2 ton you MUST put the 4L60E in it. The 3/4 tons used the 4L80E in them.
can they repo my pickup because i was layedoff
On the fuel injected engines, the computer acts as a governor. The transmissions up till the 1996 also had a mechanical shift timing governor.
There is not any. You MUST put the 4L60E back in it because of the computer system that's on the truck. If you put any other trans. in it then the engine and computer system will NOT work right and you will have all kinds of problems.
The 5.9L and 4.7L use different computers, wiring harnesses, and transmissions. If you are going to swap you need to swap everything.
yes it will. Just have the fluid changed NOT flushed. I have a friend that owns a tranny shop and he says flushing isn't good for transmissions
