During World War II, Germany was unable to conquer the Soviet Union for several reasons. First, the Soviet Union's inherent strengths and resources were far greater than Germany had estimated. Second, Germany's strength was spread out among several different fronts, while all of the Soviet strength was concentrated against Germany. Third, the Soviet Union received vitally important aid from America and Great Britain that enabled it to grow in military effectiveness with each new year of the war.
Germany did not prepare for a long war. It did not replace its losses in the 1941 campaign, nor in later years. The Germany Army shrank in size & in offensive capability. The German Army did not sufficiently increase the mobility of its infantry & artillery units. The mobile Panzer units were too few in numbers & not accompanied by mobile (& armored artillery & infantry) in the numbers necessary to win. Finally, Hitler & his German Generals had no real concept on how to actually defeat the Soviet Union. Seizing Moscow would not cause the defeat of the USSR, unlike the defeat of France that was quickly brought about by the capture of Paris.
the power of the world and your mom.
After WWII the partitioning of Germany was agreed on by all the Allied powers. The Soviet Union was mostly uninterested in Western Europe, and they had been partitioned East Germany by everyone else. Taking over all of Germany would be an act of war which would sour relations with the Allies.
in different parts they where considered differently but i think Hitler was the one who came up with taking over the world of redeamning Germany (treaty of Versailles). Hitler was Germany Tojo was japan mussolnin was Italy and Stalin was soviet union
Hitler and Stalin made a nazi soviet pact to not fight each other and invade Poland. important to Germany because that was one less enemy they had to worry about and taking over half of Poland was one step closer to conquering Europe for Hitler
Well the Soviets accomplished the ultimate step in destroying Nazi Germany by taking Berlin. But I have never heard of this statement before.

Taking place in the summer of 1943, the Battle of Kursk held high stakes for the two combatants, Germany and the Soviet Union. If Germany won it, they would once again retain the initiative on the Eastern Front and perhaps even knock the Soviet Union out of the war. If the Soviet Union won it, they would finally capture the initiative for the front and be in position to conduct their first all-out offensive of the war.
The last stage of the Soviet war plan captured the remaining cities of eastern Germany, and finally Berlin. Taking Berlin

The significanse of Operation Barbarossa was that it was an Operation launched by Nazi Germany in June 22nd 1941 and the aim was to tale all of the Soviet Union which was in Europe and a later aim was to make the Soviet union fall and submit to Germany. The Soviets knew Germany was going attack them so thats why Starlin signed the Nazi-Soviet pact. The strengths of the Operation was Germany:4.5 Million Infantry, 5,500 Tanks, 4,500 Aircraft and 46,000 Artillery Gun USSR: 5 million Infanry, 15,000 Tanks, 12,000 Aircraft. The Invasion of the Soviet Union was split into 3 groups Army Group North, Central and South. The Stages of the Invasion was; Phase 1: FrontLine Battles -This was to destroy Sovier Defensive Lines in Poland and in western Soviet Union. Phase 2: Battle of Smolensk, This suppose to be the time when Panzer Divisions would storm the Soviet Defences but was hault due to the Weather conditons e.g. Mud. Phase 3: Kiev and Leningrad: This was Germany's biggest go on taking the Soviet Union but was hault at Leningrad and at Kiev Germany losted many. Phase 4: Battle of Moscow, This was when Germany suppose to take the Soviet Union. This happened During Soviet counter offence: Operation Typhoon. After this it ended the German advance to Moscow but instead to Stalingrad which was the Final advance on the Eastern Front by Nazi German Forces The key priorities of the Germanys was to Conqeur; Leningrad, Moscow, Baltics, Smolensk, Kiev, Volga and Caucasus. These were Major areas for Germany to take because these contained Oil, Food reserves, Major Key Soviet Transport Links and Armed Factories.
Taking Germany's colonies Heavy reparations for Germany
The Soviet Union was hoping to drive the western allies out of Berlin, so they could occupy the whole city which was located 128 miles deep inside East Germany. The Soviet Union never like the arrangement after World War II to have the city of Berlin divided among the allied governments. I also think that the Soviets felt they deserved to occupy the entire city because of the tremendous losses they suffered taking Berlin from the Nazis. Over 300,000 Russians were killed taking the city.
