Rip it off...violently.
A simple reset will cure whatever ails your Sidekick. To start, remove the battery and SIM card from your Sidekick. From there, flip the Sidekick open and hold the "R" key, then put the battery back in the Sidekick. Do not, however, insert the SIM card yet. At this point, the Sidekick should restart itself. Make sure not to let go of the "R" key until your Sidekick has restarted completely. Once your Sidekick has fully restarted, remove the battery, then re-insert it--along with the SIM card--and turn on your Sidekick. This should restore all your factory settings.

The way to hard reset a sidekick slide is to remove the battery and leave it out for several minutes. After several minutes, put the battery back in, and the sidekick should reset itself.

The battery is located in the trunk on the right side. Remove the upright 1/2 panel and then remove the trap door panel.
Disconnect the positive cable from battery, carefully remove the bolts attaching door panel and disconnect electrical connections and lower window before disconnecting battery and remove the two bolts holding the door handle on and remove the linkage and reverse for installing.
sidekick 2 it goes under the rubber bumper and on the 3 behind the battery
I don't have a sidekick, but i assume you just take out the battery and put it back in.
You need to remove passenger tire and take out the plastic door in frt of wheel well. You then will have access to battery and connections
First disconnect the battery, remove the door panel and pretty straight forward from there.
Disconnect the battery. Remove the door panel. unbolt the door lock motor, and remove the wiring plug. Replace the motor and put the panel back on.
