Warning:Always disable the airbag system before working in the vacinity of the impact sensors, steering column or instrument panel * Remove the lower right dash insulator panel below the glove box for access to the blower motor * Disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor and remove the three screws from the blower motor housing * Pull the motor and fan straight down * To remove the fan from the blower motor use a narrow punch and tap the shaft out of the fan assembly * Install the fan onto the new motor
Your wiring is probably messed up, happened to me. Locate the wires from the blower to the controls check them and replace as needed. Assuming no wiring problem check and replace the blower motor resistor.
The Blower Motor Resistor Pack is defective. Replace it.
# Disable the airbag system before working # Remove the lower right dash insulator panel for access to the blower motor # Disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor and remove the three screws from the blower housing # Pull the blower motor and fan straight down # To remove the fan from the blowr motor, use a narrow punch and tap the shaft out of the fan assembly.
The Blower motor should be under the dash on the passenger side. It is easily accessible and can be removed by taking out the three screws and wire harness.
Please email me a photo of where the blower motor resistor is and how to change it. Thanks, Michael. By the way I want it for a 2000 Sunfire not a Grand Am.
the blower switch itself is located in the instrument panel. it adjust the speed of the blower. the blower resistor, if that is what you are looking for,is located beside the blower motor under the pass. side of the dash
Dash ground is loose.
Try looking under the passenger side foot area. The blower motor will be there, and the blower motor resistor should be there also, will have a wiring harness and I believe 2 bolts holding it.
On my 2002 Sunfire it's under the dash on the passenger side.
heat not working
Blower motor fuse is blown. Blower motor resistor burned out. Blower motor switch bad. Blower motor bad.
I just had to replace the fan motor in one. It shorted out.
