I recently had to replace the motor on our c230 because the arm was very very very minimally warped. The cost was about $600, and the mechanic got the part from the local dealership. I don't know what you situation is, but my mechanic mentioned also hurting the wiper transmission (stripping some of the gears, etc.) if the motor wasn't replaced. I wouldn't go cheap on the part, and the labor looked difficult. He had to remove the cover underneath the windshield. One more thing, make sure the arm is adjusted to the proper length when installed, or else your blade sticks out over your window. You can email me at blacktofu at Yahoo if you like.
These entire wiper thing are a common and easy repair on these cars.
They are actually supposed to be lubed every year, but commonly are not.
The problem manifests as either a pause/stuck motion while it throws and/or a complete stop. Yes the complete stop can be a burned motor, but generally isn't.
Put the blade at 12:00 and turn off. Open hood and take off the cover over the unit, below windshield. It pulls off. There is another cover with tabs on the side, depress with finger or screw driver and remove. Lube the assembly. Pause is cured.
See if the nut holding the shaft on to the unit has come undone or loose. Tighten. Fixes complete stop.
Should take under an hour to say the least.
A bent arm, even severely takes two pliers and rebending. Minor adjustments should not be important and taken up by the spring loading and blade frame. Much more and you got ripped badly.
