The backing vehicle appears to be at fault - they should have been looking behind them to see what was happening there and seen the car coming out of the driveway.

The car coming out of the driveway would have had their attention in the other direction, looking for oncoming traffic.

What does a driveway alarm do?

A driveway alarm can be used as an extra form of security for your residence. For example, if you have a long driveway because you live far off of a road, the alarm will trigger when a vehicle passes the sensors and will relay a sound of your choosing in your home to alert you of a coming vehicle. It could also be used at a business to alert the owner that a package is about to be delivered or a new customer is coming. http://www.absoluteautomation.com/driveway-alarm.html

Know Who is Coming In With a Driveway Alarm?

For anyone with a long driveway or someone who simply wants to know in advance when someone pulls into the driveway, a driveway alert alarm is ideal These alarms are simple to install. The sensor will generally come with a stake that is drive into the ground. This transmits to the receiver in the house that will emit a beep or alarm sound when a vehicle enters the driveway. The placement of the transmitter is important. It should be at the end of the driveway, but not in a location that will be tripped by passing cars.

Can you get a ticket if you have the right of way and a car exiting a driveway hits me?

In all 50 states, the vehicle exiting a drive way has to yield the right of the way to all on coming traffic. In this case, you should not be cited.

Is it illegal to back out of a driveway into any road?

Only onto a major road or junction, or by a local ordinance. Otherwise we would all have a U shaped driveway. You need a turn-around area in your driveway. It certainly is not safe to come to a stop on the highway and back into your driveway nor is it safe to back out of your driveway onto the highway. I have a straight driveway and it's not illegal to back out onto a minor residential street.

How would you know if a leak is coming from your crank seal?

Driveway Lighting Makes Coming Home At Night Safer?

Simple driveway lighting set up on a motion sensor can make coming home late at night a much safer experience. The right driveway light will make getting from your car to the door easy no matter what you are bringing inside. Driveway lighting kits are inexpensive and quite easy to mount. Options generally exist for over your garage door or front door area so you can choose a location that will light up the right space. Remember to turn the lighting so it covers your driveway completely when you finish mounting the hardware to your home.

Can you cross over a double yellow line while coming out of your driveway?

You should never need to do so. If the driveway is on the opposite side of the road, find a way to enter it FROM that side of the road. If doing so isn't possible, then you have no choice-- enter the driveway by crossing the yellow lines.

If backing out of your driveway you come to a full stop at the end of it because you see another car coming and the other car hits you while your bumper is still on your own driveway who ist at fault.?

It depends. Which bumper is still in your driveway, your front or rear? Did the other car leave the roadway and hit your car? After you came to a full stop did you then proceed to back out and then got hit? If any part of your car was in the roadway then it would most probably be your fault. Any vehicle that is entering into traffic from a driveway is required to yield the right of way to those vehicles traveling within the roadway. If you stuck 2 inches of your car into the road and you were hit, it would be your fault.
