front or rear are the same. you have to remove the caliper and the caliper mounting bracket. you may have to tap the face of the rotor with a hammer to loosen. on the rears you may have to unadjust the rear parking brake shoes.

TTake them off and take them to a parts store that has a rotor turning machine.
on your trailblazer dose it have touch button 4x4 if so have a look at the side of trany there mit be a motor there under a side cover that you have to replace or the switch it self has to be replaced

Check with a Chevy dealer. Some Trailblazers have to have the ecm reprogrammed for this reason.
If your Trailblazer is a 4x4 the switch should be to the left of the radio on the dash.

Pretty simple, Remove the tires, remove the break caliper, pull off the rotor and replace. You should use new break pads when ever changing the rotor on any car.
a jack shaft is the small drive shaft from transfer case to front differential, brakes have nuthing to do with removal of a jack shaft maybe you mean removal of front axle
