Check with a Chevy dealer. Some Trailblazers have to have the ecm reprogrammed for this reason.
The "part-time" indicator light illuminates when the vehicle's transmission is positioned into the 4 wheel drive status. Once the vehicle is returned to 2 wheel drive the front hub locks disengage and the indicator light goes out.
The GED indicator light is an warning indicator. Essentially, it means that the alternator in the vehicle is not charging properly.
had same problem w/ my "03. go to dealer and there was an update for it and he "flashed" the computer with their handscanner and it updated the problem from GM w/software fix. light was gone

The Service Vehicle Soon indicator is usually a light bulb, headlight, or something to do with the vehicle. The Service Engine Soon indicator is anything that could be wrong with the Engine. Some computers can read codes for either, but some computers can only read codes for the Service Engine indicator.
Problem in emission system-- Have vehicle scanned to determine the problem
The indicator light is at the very top of your gauges.Turn your switch on but don't start the motor and look at the top of you instrument cluster It will look like a very small vehicle with all for tires showing.It will light up orange.
The light that comes on when 4 wheel drive is engaged is not the service light. It is just an indicator light that comes on to let you know the 4 wheel drive is engaged. It will go off when the 4 wheel drive is disengaged.
If i am not mistaken, it is the shift indicator light on a manual transmission vehicle
It is like the turn signal flasher dash light . just to remind you it is in four wheel drive.
