Sounds like your ECM, the main computer on your car that receives messages from all of the sensors........ it might not be working. Or maybe the bulb for the engine light on the dash board is out.
I'm pretty sure that if the ECM is bad, your car won't work at all. Does your car work at all???
on some cars, the service engine light comes and no code is present when a headlight is out
engine code reader go to autozone its free tgere
The service engine soon light on the car dashboard to alert the driver to a problem with the car. A specialized computer scanner or code reader can diagnose the issue.
get your hands on a code reader or disconnect your battery for a few minutes
The service engine light is the same thing as a check engine light.
Get your car to a shop or get an OBD II code reader and you will find out there are hundreds if not thousands of things this light will come on for PS it is a "Service Engine Soon" light
With a code reader. Have your local auto parts store read the code(s). They provide this service for free.
Autozone will use the Engine Diagnostic Code Reader to read the codes and then ERASE/RESET the engine light. { Phone other autoparts stores to see if they provide similar service).
Get a code reader from Autozone or a friend and plug it into the OBDII connection to read what code caused the check engine light to illuminate. A flashing check engine light indicates to NOT drive any further.
Yes, the Service Engine Soon light is the same as the Check Engine light.
Service engine lights need to be read with a code reader for your make and model. If the problem has already been fixed, you can reset the light by removing the appropriate fuse, or disconnecting the negative battery terminal for at least 30 seconds.
It could be anyone or any combination of things, so you need to have the codes pulled up by a code reader
