The "N" word comes from the word "Negroid" and means the black or very dark-skinned people that come from a particular area on the planet. The essence of the word actually refers to their skull-shape more than anything. The Negroid people have a different shaped skull. It has nothing to do with the Spanish people. The Spanish people are known as "Latino" people. As for the Indians, their ancestry is Asian/Eskimo. People should not try and label every brown-eyed dark-skinned person under one general name. Every race has different characteristics within their own "race" and they are all unique in their own way, even the white people who are really just a watered-down version of a darker forefather. After all, there is no "white" race is there?

Second opinion: Negro actually does originate in the Latin niger, which means "black". However, we're not speaking Latin, we're speaking English, so instead say "dark-skinned people.
Indian ancestry is Asian/Eskimo? Proof please? India has had many different waves of migration, you know...
EDIT: Sorry, I just realized that you meant Indigenous Americans by 'Indian', and yes, many waves of Immigration to the American continent came from eastern Eurasia.
No! Spanish people are not necessarily Latinos. Spanish people are Spaniards. Latinos have an 80% chance that they have native American blood. This is not a hard concept yet most people do not understand this. It may be because many Latinos themselves do not want to admit that they have native blood. Unless a Latin American can go to Europe, visit a relative, and claim some part of European land, then they are most likely native to the Americas. The dark skin, brown eyes, height, and even language prove that most Latinos are indigenous to the Americas. My grandparents spoke Nautl, the Aztec language of Mexico yet, they wanted to be known as Spaniards. This did not make sense to me until I figured out that they were ashamed of their true roots. Sad. As for black people and slaves, it is something that I have never and will never be part of. It is the past and I was not part of it. My people were too busy trying to fight off the Spaniards. That is why I celebrate September 16.
No, the N-word has a history of being used to oppress and demean Black individuals. It is not appropriate for non-Black individuals to use it, regardless of their skin color. Respect for historical context and the experiences of Black people should guide language choices.
The word 'light' and 'skinned' are adjectives used to describe a noun; for example:Most light skinned people have to be cautious of direct sunlight. The compound adjective 'light skinned' describes the noun 'people'.
"El morenito" is a Spanish term that translates to "the little dark-skinned one" in English. It is often used as a term of endearment or to refer to someone with a darker complexion.
The Hindi word 'gora' means 'fair-skinned' or 'light-skinned', typically used to describe someone with lighter complexion.
Queen Isabella I of Castile was described as fair-skinned, with light hair and blue eyes. She was said to be of average height for her time, with a strong and commanding presence. She was often depicted wearing elaborate, regal attire befitting her royal status.
Yes, there are people of African or Caribbean descent living in the Netherlands who may have dark skin. Dutch nationality is not dependent on skin color, so these individuals can be considered Dutch.
It depends what you mean by dark skinned, but there are darker skinned spanish people.
AALIYAH IS NOT LIGHT-SKINNED SHE IS BROWN SKINNED!!
no
Because Indians are known as red-skinned people.
Contrary to popular belief, no. Skin colour is simply an adaptation to climate. People in hot climates tend to be dark skinned, while people in colder climates tend to be light skinned. People of all races can be coloured differently. For example, Caucasians can be very light skinned (ex. Western Europeans) or very dark skinned (ex. Indians). The only difference between races is the skeletal structures. Technically, the only race is the human race.
Being a Zabrak, he is technically red skinned with black Sith tattoos.
Some people are light skinned because of their family's back round and culture. Just look at some hispanics they have pure white skin, and thats because of there Spanish (Spain) back round, some even have colored eyes. Life, culture, family it dazzles me how it is....
Not as in the American Indians. Australia's indigenous inhabitants are the dark-skinned Aboriginal people who lived in tribal groups throughout the continent.
The Cree skinned the buffalo for clothes and moccasin
Because the Aztec prophecies told the Aztecs that their gods were fair skinned men with beards, and when the spanish arrived, the Aztecs thought they were gods.
Arians are an ancient tribe living in western Afghanistan. This can be confused with Aryans, which are the people who live in Northern India. These northern Indians are lighter skinned because of the cooler climate found in North India. Dravidians are those people that occupy South India, and tend to be darker skinned because of the hotter climate in the southern area of India.
The explorers called the first settlers "Indigenous people" or "Native Americans" depending on the region they were referring to.
