Depending on the situation, if you've already cheated on your wife then the marriage is over but if you're only thinking of cheating/leaving, then you should attempt to stay with your wife and work things out! Try to recapture the love you once had!

He should but no one can force a married man to work or rebuild his marriage if he doesn't want to, or like what the other person said, if your marriage is already over, what's the use right? And it's sad that a man and his wife trying to stay together for the sake of their children. In my own opinion, I don't think using the children is fair for both because if this couple supposed to work on their marriage it's because they love each others. Not their children. Children will sense that there's a big problem in the family.
