You have to ask why is he somewhat a control freak? Maybe he needs some assurance from you? Have you tried to talk openly and honestly? You also have to ask why do you love a control freak like him? Do accept him unconditionally? I think you can have both the man you love and the freedom to do what you like whenever you like, if both of you deeply understand each other.
