An aerobic instructor does not have to be physically fit to teach a good class. The instructor could look unfit if they recently recovered from an illness or had unexpected weight gain due to factors not controllable by diet and exercise.
There are lots of different aerobic exercises in the world that would certainly suite in your style and preferences. We have aerobic dance, cycling, running, rowing machine, fitness walking, treadmill and swimming. Those mentioned aerobic exercises would really help build your body and it will also make you healthy and physically fit.

As soon as you stop using it. The human body is an adaptive machine. If you are physically active, your body will adapt and improve it's ability to perform those physical activities. If you are physically inactive, you WILL regress and become less physically fit. True, there is age-related decline as you enter your senior years, but the biggest determinant of aerobic capacity (or any other marker of physical fitness) is how much or little you challenge your body to perform. Use it or lose it.

The school is not the issue, it is finding the right master to teach you. Other than making yourself physically fit, learning is not going to be available without the instructor.
Fitness Strength mean the person should be fit physically, mentally, and with thoughts.
