Well of course, if it's necessary to get to the defective Plumbing in question.

What would the alternative be? Just leave the pipe leaking? and or decline to repair your plumbing leak?

They sometimes have to tear open walls as well if it's the only way to get to the pipes.

You should always have a reserve of nonperishble food in your pantry. Invest in some canned foods, especially those with lift and pull tabs. This food should have a lot of protein. Tuna, spam, sardines. These things don't always sound appealing, but in times of emergency, they will sustain you. Jars of peanut butter are not only filling, but are packed with protein.
