Answer
You don't specify if your new car is a 2008 or out of the showroom new. If your new car is right out of the showroom don't drive it more than 100 miles an hour to 110 miles an hour for the first 1000 miles. While it's not a baby, you should break it in smoothly especially if you live in a hot climate. If you are the kind of person who likes to keep their car nice, good running be gentle with it for the first 1000 miles. sure why not? might as well enjoy it! yea you gatta at least find out its top speed :)
YES BUT YOU CAN NOT GO FAST BECAUSE OF THE NEW ENGINE

no
That depends on the route taken, how fast the car moves, and from what part of New York to what part of California. It is about 4 DAYS of driving.
Drive carefully with your new car.

Less than the speed limit so you won't get pulled over.
