If you want it to work, it should be on I, if you want to turn it off it should be on 0.

A switch mode power supply is chosen for an application when its weight, efficiency, size, or wide input range tolerance make it preferable to linear power supplies. Initially the cost of semiconductors made switch mode supplies a premium cost alternative, but current production switch mode supplies are nearly always lower in cost.
The obvious answer would be the Power Supply Unit (PSU). This starts the computer and without it nothing can work. On the other hand if you have a faulty mother board or RAM, the computer would switch on but nothing would be shown on the screen. The PSU is found on the highest part of the tower. Also check the the switch (if it has) is switched on, and that the power supply cable (the 3 pin one) works.
It is likely a microswitch and not repairable. It should be replaced or bypassed.
A light switch and a computer are similar because they both work on the on/off concept.

If a computer's power supply overheats then switch the computer off and let it cool down. Similarly, purchase a laptop stand or computer fan to get cool air flowing around the machine.
A rocker switch is a type of switch (i.e. light) that rocks when switched, rather than trips like the majority of switches. The side of the switch not in use will be raised, while the active side will be pressed down.
On a WC macerator installation the electrical supply to the unit should be wired from a switch.
