yes they will turn freely in neutral but still kind of hard to turn due to rear end gears.

The rear wheels are secured by five bolts and nuts. Remove the nuts to remove the wheels. Make sure the vehicle is jacked up before loosening the nuts.

Unless a brake is engaged, the wheels on a car in neutral can rotate backwards. If the car is in gear, wheels attached to the power train probably will only rotate backwards if the car is in reverse gear. If it is in forward gear or "park" they should not rotate backwards. Wheels not connected to the power train should be able to rotate either direction.
Bearings are used to let the wheels spin freely and with minimal drag.
Either all 4 wheels on the ground with the transmision in Park and the transfer case in Neutral, or on a trailer.Either all 4 wheels on the ground with the transmision in Park and the transfer case in Neutral, or on a trailer.
No. The wheels on an aircraft's landing gear turn freely, and the aircraft is propelled by its propellers or turbines when taxiing.

can be if in neutral for a short distance.
Check that it is safe to ride. That everything that's supposed to move freely does move freely. That everything that's supposed to be bolted firmly is bolted firmly. That your clothes can't get caught in the spinning wheels. That it's legal to ride. Lights, reflectors If required.
Your owner's manual should tell you, but I think in neutral & Xfer case in neutral also. The don't forget to put the key in & unlock the ignition so the wheels are not locked or it will track very nasty & the tires will squeal a lot.
This is normal and is caused by the weight of the wheels, and the dampers pushing them down. All you need to do to correct this is take the jack out from underneath the vehicle and drive it off, the wheels will settle down once you start driving.
