Yes, maybe even expelled. Cyberbullying is one of the most leading causes of suicide. Huge amounts of children die because of cyberbullying. So, to me students should be suspended for commiting cyberbullying.
They should not be expelled from School for it but better educated against it.
It depends. On one hand, what children do on the computer while at home is the parents' business, not the school's. If they have a problem, they can go to the police or the court, and not involve the school. However, if the bullying is directed by one student of the school against another student or member of the faculty, and it is severe enough, then yes, the school probably should get involved.
What the courts say is that it is fair to discipline behaviors that cause disruption at school.
However, a fine line needs to be respected. There is such a thing as free speech and artistic expression. I don't think drawing a goofy face and putting someone's name on it and posting it online should be punished, writing a story that includes their name, or even saying on your Facebook page that you dislike someone or think they are ugly, fat, etc. That is just self-expression and venting. Likewise, you should never be punished for complaining about a teacher to the school board or calling out their unfairness in public. But you should never assert that untrue things are fact, threaten anyone, harass/stalk someone, hack, or accuse another falsely of having a disease, doing immoral things, or committing a crime.
Depending on the severity of the bullying and of the school's policies, the student caught cyber bullying may be expelled, suspended, or just given a warning. Since cyber bullying is over the internet, it is harder to get proof that certain people committed cyber bullying, especially when a lot of cyber bullying is done anonymously.
No, they need educating about this sort of behaviour.
that's stupid! kids should be supended from school if they're cyberbulling!!
no
Yes, I do believe that if a student were to bully them on the internet ( or known as cyber bullying ) they should be suspended. Even if it is on the Internet, it is still considered bullying. There have been some cases where the victim committed suicide ( or known as bullycide ) because of cyber bullying. Either way, it does not matter if it was on the Internet or not, it is still bullying and it hurts the victim. It depends on where they are cyberbullying. If the School is 100% sure it is while on their premises then they may take a view to suspend a student. If it is from elsewhere then it cannot be held responsible for that student and therefore they should not suspend them.
You can be suspended for cyberbullying, vandalizing questions, answers, message boards, community forum, and for ignoring Supervisor warnings.
No, cyberbullying shouldn't be allowed anywhere.
Yes, Students have commited suicide to what has happended online.
Cyberbullying is not allowed on YouTube and violates the community guidelines. Should you find any comment or video that is a blatant example of cyberbullying, you should report it so that it can be looked into.
Cyberbullying on FacebookCyberbullying on facebook is when someone posts offensive statements or writes mean things on your message on facebook. Cyberbullying on facebook could get your account denied from logging in, and your account suspended either temporarily or permanently. People cyberbully on facebook is because they may want attention from other facebook users or friends, and want to act cool. But they are actually breaking the facebook help center, and violating the facebook cyberbullying policy.

Did you mean exclusive cyberbullying? If you did, then it is when a certain group or race is being targeted by cyberbullying.
