Power Steering fluid helps to keep the steering of a car running smoothly. A Dodge Caravan uses Mopar ATF +4 for power steering fluid.
You need to remove the washer fluid. You can siphon it out, or remove the power steering reservoir and dump it out. If you haven't had the car running , you may be able to absorb it out with a rag since it is probably floating on top of the power steering fluid. The problem with washer fluid is that it is not compressible and will cause poor steering reaction when it enters the steering pump. It may even cause a loss of steering.
yes, the engine should be running and warm when checking the trans fluid. careful where you put your fingers and don't get burnt on the exhaust shield. The dipstick ios located on the right hand side of a 3.5 L nice and tight like everything else under the hood!
Most likely a problem with the power steering pump or a power steering fluid leak. Check the power steering fluid is at required level. (Power steering fluid dipstick check should show between the Hot and Cold marks with engine running.) HTH, Red

As I understand it! you turn the steering wheel to lock positions both ways a few times and keep checking fluid during the process, Car running of course! Did you change the hose? if so what and how did you do it? thanks, Ben nebage@gmail.com
