It should stay on for 20 minutes then shut off by itself, or it will shut off when you open the drivers door.
It should turn off when the key is turned to the 'on' position.
I would recommend finding out from a dealership or parts store but it should be regular antifreeze and not extended life. Extended life usually will not work in older vehicles such as yours.
maybe only for 1 minute or two If it stays on beyond that try to push the clock button while everything is powered off to see if display goes off

there should be a engine decal on the radiator shroud it will have the directions on how to install the serpentine belt the engine size should be on this decal
