If a fish is excessivly active, I always check the water for Ammonia and Nitrite content. There are test kits available at pet shops and they are not expensive. If you are keeping to the basic rules of fishkeeping you should not have a Nitrite or Ammonia problem. The basic rules for keeping any kind of fish are. 1 inch of fish needs a minimum of 1 gallon of water. :- Every tank needs a permanently running cycled filter. Every tank need to have at least 50% of it water changed evey week. Comply with the above rules and your fish stand a chance of surviving. Fail to comply with them and I can guarantee that your fish will have constant health problems.
it depends i have a male with a female betta, in a 2.5 gallon tank, they get along, i wouldnt risk it, no
If you want an active fish that moves around a lot then a Betta is not for you.
you can put a betta in a 54 gallon tank
Only 1. Usually a Betta is all that is kept in a 3 gallon tank
That's perfectly normal for a betta.
You should only have 1 fish per gallon of water in a fish tank. I wouldn't put more than 2 or 3 Neon Tetras in a 4 gallon aquarium with 1 Betta.
A betta fish would be much more suited to a 1 gallon tank than a 'variety'. You shouldn't keep much more than one fish per gallon anyway.
The male will kill the female after he spawns her. If she won't spawn he will still kill her. No male Betta will allow another Betta (male or female) to live in its vicinity. So the answer is NO.
The tank should be changed partially (25%) weekly.
None. The 1 gallon bowl is already too small for the betta by itself.
Not a chance. They are active fish that like living in schools and would be miserable in such a tiny tank. The only fish that could comfortably live in a tank this size is a betta. Even a betta should ideally have a bigger tank, but will be comfortable in one gallon if 70% water changes are done weekly, RELIGIOUSLY. NEVER skip a water change.
A 1 gallon tank could have one betta fish, but you will need to be diligent about changing the water on a regular basis. The smallest tank that should be used, even for a betta, is a 2.5 gallon tank as it at least gives the fish swimming room.
