you do not need to change gaskets just a good flush will do the trick If the transmission pan has been removed, then you should replace the gasket. The only other reason for changing it is if it is leaking transmission oil from the gasket. Otherwise the above answer is good. Just watch out that whoever does it doesn't over tighten the plug. Toyota overtightened my wifes and trashed the threads. Had to replace the whole pan and Toyota wouldn't fess up to their mistake! There goes another couple hundred bucks!
If it is an automatic transmission every 30 thousand miles.
it should. they are the same from 88-92
If a transmission is leaking fluid, it is likely that a seal or gasket has failed. Replace the gaskets and seals and the leaking should stop.
You need to replace the speed sensor. It sends a signal to the speedometer and also sends a signal to the transmission on when it should shift.
75w90 empty it holds 2qts (us)
if u have a stick(manual) you dont have one. if you have a automatic then it should be somewhere on the drivers side under the hood
when gm took over Toyota they did a lot of cars with the same engines. look at the engines in both, if they are the same engine then they should be nearly the same transmission
No, header gaskets don't need any sealers on them.
Yes, your fluids should be flushed every so often.
As long as you keep up with the maintenance, depending on manufacturer, it should last well over 200 thousand miles. I've seen Asian imports (Toyota's and Honda's mainly) with up to and including 500 thousand miles with the original engine and transmission. Regular maintenance includes and is not limited to, Fluid and Filter changes, Transmission flushes, Transmission pan gaskets(if leaking) and regular checkups.
Theoretically, under normal operating conditions, and proper maintenence, intake manifold gaskets should last for the entire life of the vehicle. To my knowledge, there is no prescribed routine replacement interval for intake manifold gaskets. Of course anytime a head(s) is removed, then new gaskets should be used in reassembly.
They should match, 93 and 94 are both YJ's and if the motors are the same then the gaskets will be as well.
