assuming you have a four stroke engine, is it possible that premix gas from a weed wacker was put in by accident. if not usually if the fuel was bad it wouldn't run right, blue smoke is usually caused by engine oil getting into cylinder, could be a simple as a severely clogged air filter or could need engine work
there should be a drain plug under the mower where the blades are. to fill it is on the top where you check the oil. there is a drain plug under the mower where the blade is. to fill it is where you chech your oil. Many mowers do not have a drain plug, simply remove the dipstick and tip the mower on its side and dump it out the filler tube into a proper container.
Drain the kerosene out and depending where the kerosene was put :If in the flue tank refill with gas :If in the oil reservoir refill with sea 30 w oil :If two stroke motor mix 2 cycle oil with flue and refill tank. Hope this helps.
On a push mower you take the oil cap off our drain plug out (which ever it has) and tip the mower on its side with the carburetor up. Once the oil is drained, refill it. Riding lawn mowers have an oil drain bolt on the bottom of the engine and you change the oil and filter kind of like a car
It should not hurt it but it will fowl the spark plug if heavy oil mix. To fix the problem drain gas out of the lawnmower and refill with good fuel and clean or replace spark plug. It will probably make smoke for a little bit but that should fix it.
One should first start the mower and let the oil get warm. Doing this will ensure that not much of the old oil is left in the tank. Next place an oil pan under the mower to catch the oil and then pull the plug pin. Let the oil drain out and then put the cap back in place. Refill the mower with new oil and the job is done!
Depending on the engine type and model. You'll need to find and remove the drain plug and empty the oil the find and remove the oil filter and replace it with the correct one. Reinstall the oil drain plug and refill the engine with fresh oil.
I would drain the oil and take out the spark plug and turn the engine over until nothing comes out. Refill the oil and start the mower, you may have to keep giving the carb a shot of starting fluid or small amount of gas to keep it running at first and that will clean out the carb.
under the mower above the blade should be a allenhead plug
The way to drain gasoline from a Briggs and Stratton lawn mower is to take the oil cap off and drain the oil. From there, run a rubber hose into the drain and siphon the rest of the oil and gas out.
Usually on any push mower you can drain the oil through the dipstick tube by turning the mower on its side and draining into a pan. Then flip it back up and refill to the full mark. I'm guessing that it is a 3-6 hp Briggs engine, meaning that it will take approximately a half quart of 10W-30 or 30 SAE oil.
drain it
The cheap pos we bought from Walmart doesn't have a drain plug..must tip it on its side and drain it from the fill tube.
